10mb extra internal memory??

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this or if it was a fluke...

I check my internal memory day to day via mini info, in an attempt to stave off that horrible little lack of memory symbol. Due to this I knew last week it hovered around 20-22mb.

Anyway for some reason I decided to sign out my Facebook for Android account (which took ages and a force close) this has been signed in constantly till that point. After I noticed I had an extra 10+mb internal memory! Now fluctuating between 32-35mb.

Don't know how this could be as result of closing Facebook though as I always clear cache etc anyway. Could be a fluke. Why not give it a go if you're low, or try explain why its happened to me as I'm intrigued :-)

Doesn't is state if you sign out of facebook, you lose all your facebook contact links? Have a look at your facebook size or contacts storage. That may well have decreased.

Signing out only freed up 1MB on mine... could be it doesn't clean up it's data often and the occasionally sign-out and back in is useful? Did warn me it would 'remove Facebook data' from the phone but didn't explain what that data was.

Everything Facebook

It does seem the facebook for htc sense and socialnetwork.com are using FAR less than before. Mine are using KB rather than MB since i cleared all data from them.

I lost no data as everything re-downloaded eventually.

And upon re-checking the applications they have not re-couped the almost 20MB they were both using before the wipe.

:D

So I'm guessing its not the links but some date we haven't yet discovered? As my links never changed and still got the savings.

Can't tell any difference from before and now so think Ill just be thankful and leave it at that :-)

I too am trying to free up some space on my Desire, I have got Facebook for Android and Facebook for HTC Sense on my phone. Am I safe to remove one of them and if so, which one?

Before I had Apps2SD+, I used to periodically clear the data of the Facebook app. It just piles up over time...

I'm not sure what it was saving though, I didn't link to contacts, etc.
