12/18/11: Amazon accepting orders again!

I ordered on day 1 grey 32 and was also cancelled a little while ago. If Amazon does not do right by us, I pull all my business from them.

I find it unbelievable that they would not offer you the choice to wait until they received the tablets but instead unilaterally cancelled the orders. Terrible customer service especially around Christmas. Really Amazon?
 
They must have severely over estimated and probably won't get anymore in stock for quite some time.

Interestingly enough on Newegg the ETA still says 12/8/11

I just preordered another Gray one from Best Buy, since Amazon cancelled my initial preorder. Hopefully they don't cancel on me too. :/
 
well, about to PO from BB as I am expecting my Amazon email soon for my 32gb Champagne.

EDIT: no Amazon cancellation for me yet, but I just PO 2 from BB.

The Amazon reps are about as reliable as the VZW reps are regarding Galaxy Nexus availability. Why wouldn't Amazon carry the update to the tablet that they currently still do carry? I'm sure Amazon will carry the table, just not on the release date unless their quantities are very limited. Either way no one will know for sure till the actual release date.

I went ahead and preordered at Bestbuy even though I HATE BB it seems they will be the only ones I'll possibly get my hands on one from but it'll probably get cancelled.
 
Anybody else preorder from JR.com? I just preordered the 64GB champagne from them for $589.00 no tax + FS. Originally I wasn't going to preorder but with all these e-mails people are getting I started getting afraid that there won't be any left if I didn't preorder...

Prime member here cancelled. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, I hope...

Gives me some time to wait for info on the other T3 4.0 tablets that are going to hit the market.
 
I emailed Amazon about my order to see if at this point it looks like it might be cancelled. The Rep responded that at this point my order is scheduled to be filled. I will post the email later since I am on the app right now. I guess we'll see. I ordered the champagne 32gb.

I also pre orderd from JR, if you join their buyer loyalty program (free to join) you can get free shipping. The no tax is nice but I'm a little worried their initial shipment won't cover all the pre orders.

heres to praying I dont get that email :eek:

maybe they sold out of the Amethyst or so many of the Amethyst were taken from Asus that Amazon only had stock coming for those of us that took the Champagne
 
Newegg doesn't cancel pre-orders. It'll just be there until they get stock. They also have a price guarantee if I remember.

Just POd from Adorama. I ordered a few things for my camera from them years ago and ordered a Black Friday camera for my daughter. They have been highly rated over the years but I don't know if they will get as big a share of tablets on the initial shipment as the other boys.
 
I have now ready from several tech sources on this story that Amazon is not just across the board canceling. It looks like it depends on when you ordered and what you ordered and that if you have not yet gotten your canceling email, your not likely going to at this stage.

As well, I read an email posted on another site where Amazon assured the guy his order is in the system and will be processed.

so...
