"1700 mAh" battery sale

Those are not the batteries associated with this thread. This thread is for the 1700mAh batteries sold by HTC Express (aka: chichitek on ebay). The 1700mAh batteries are labeled as 1700mAh and fit perfectly into the tbolt. It has not been confirmed that they are actually 1700mAh as labeled but myself and others who have purchased these are getting better life from them then the OEM 1400mAh batteries.

You may be right, but do you think that there are that many different manufacturers of these batteries? Also, isn't it an odd coincidence that mine also came one red, one black like the ones from chichitek/HTCExpress?

They're probably different sellers, but maybe the batteries are made in the same place? The problem I encountered might be due to my sim card holder, although the stock battery doesn't do the same thing.

In any case these seem very similar in Mah to the stock battery, and I'm happy to have a couple of extras for travel as well as an extra charger. I might order a couple more off of ebay just to have even more for long airplane rides when I might not be able to charge and I might be watching lots of video etc...

Not sure what you mean by "I may be right". There's no dispute that this thread in not intended for the 1500mAh batteries you purchased. There are several threads on the forum for those batteries.

As for the black and red labels, they are just that, printed labels. They use 2 different colors so that you can differentiate the batteries no matter what mAh rated batteries your buying in pairs. Just because yours are also red and black means nothing to the fact that they might be the same as the 1700's.

Your statement on all these batteries possibly being made in the same place could very well be true. If you read through the original thread on these 1700 batteries many of us said that these could all be the same batteries with different labels slapped on them. That's why my reply to your original post clearly stated that it has not been confirmed that these are actually 1700mAh.

One thing is for sure, I get more life out of the 1700's then the OEM battery. Not a huge improvement but non the less, an improvement.

Anyways, enjoy your purchase. For the price, having some extra batteries are well worth it.

I too seem to be getting more time with these 1700 batteries. I wnder if it is due to some kind of limiter in the phone's charging circuit that is not present in the wall charger.

I agree with you. I had actually started a thread on the subject but it did not get much response. I think charging the battery outside of the phone is like bump charging a battery in the phone. It seems to be a much stronger charge. It may also be why so many of us feel we get better performance with the 1700's.

I'm hoping someone like batteryboss.org tests these batteries with the correct equipment so we could figure out if they are really a higher mAh then stock or if we are all being swindled with only a 1700mAh label on a lesser battery.

There is definately something to these batteries. I've had one in my TB for a week now and I'm getting much better performance. For example, I pulled my phone off the cable yesterday around 05:30. Right now, 26 hours later, I'm at 41%. Granted I have been in a 4G area the entire time and not using it very much. I have gotten all my gmail and made a call or two as well as regularly updating my on-line diet program.

I consider this a big step up from the stock battery and, having charged last in the phone, unrelated to using the wall charger.

Just put in a bid on some of those batteries from chichitek on ebay. If i'm lucky I could get them for $10 shipped (though doubtful). Anyone bought those off ebay specifically?

Not on Ebay, but the ones I bought online from the link at the top of this thread are the ChiChiTek ones. Even $20 shipped would still be a good deal for them!

I got mine through the link too. Interestingly though, I was billed and paid through my google account (the one that pays for my apps.)

ended up getting them for $17 and change. I feel like its a decent deal, though not as good as those Chinese batteries in packs of 3. I just wanted a couple spares that are charged up when i need

Then you should be quite happy with these!

After having lost the EBAY auction I purchased these from the website.

Worse case I have batteries that run the same and I get a spare. I tried ordering a battery off of AMAZON like the stock and ti was $30 plus they won't have them in till June so I just cancelled the order.

Hopefully these will be better.

I just want to give an update report. I cleared battery stats and have been running one of these batteries for a few weeks now. I will say it does seem to have a bit more power than the stock battery. Don't expect anything radical, but it is enough for a heavy user like myself to get through the day and not sweat thinking I might run out of juice.

I'm still experimenting with charging in the battery charger vs. in the phone to see if the results are equal. I'm thinking I might be getting more charge by charging the battery in the charger, but I'm not sure yet.

I am actually looking forward to the wall charger. I wanted to buy one earlier but they are approx. $20-$25 so this is a def. a bonus for me.

BTW, if anyone is interested the price on these batteries dropped 10 bucks and now you should get 2-5 days shipping.

Just ordered these yesterday and I contacted the company to refund me some of the money since the batteries haven't shipped yet. I doubt I will get my 7 bucks back, it seems the person who emailed me back doesn't speak English very well judging by the email he sent me.
