1800 mah battery question-help

I ordered and received the Motorola 1800 mah battery. I am still awaiting the extended battery door. In the meantime, this is what i'm considering:

Use the 1800 mah battery without a door for now...until it arrives. I would put a case over the phone; this would cover the back of the phone and the battery.

Thoughts please? Recommend? Or should i just wait it out till the door arrives?

Please no flaming...i genuinely want thoughts/input from people more intelligent than me

Waiting for the door to arrive? It should come with a door if it requires a door but if they for whatever sent it separately I would wait.

If you do use it without the door, I'd keep it tightly sealed in the case and be VERY careful with it.

You don't need the aftermarket door on the X2 like you did on the X1. It doesn't have the screen issues the X1 did. I just took some needle-nose pliers and **very** slightly bent the 4 legs outward a **tiny** amount (be careful!). You only need to tweak the legs about 1/4 mm, hardly at all. Then the stock door will slide on and off the 1800mah battery just fine and you can retain the stock look. I've been using mine this way since launch day without any problems (I had the 1800mah on my X1 and just moved it over).
