$199 or $299

I believe the price will be $299 but they will have a short term deal at VZW for $199 for online pre orders

That's just a guess

It will definitely not be $199. If they did, sales for the Razr and Rezound would plummet. All 3 phones will be priced similarly at VZW. I suspect the best prices will be through Amazon, WireFly, and the likes, unless this is sold solely by VZW.

I'm expecting $300 simply because of VZW's MAP lists we've seen. And nothing in their leaked spec sheets have indicated a 16GB version, so I'd be surprised to see that.

BUT, the banner ads that popped up with the $200 price left me scratching my head -- how can Verizon establish a MAP, then violate it right off the bat? Sure, maybe it was planned to be a Black Friday special, but MAP is MAP for a reason, right?

And by the way, has anyone successfully bargained down the price of the phone with a Verizon retail location? I recall one woman on the Bionic forum saying she did, but was friendly with the manager. If true, this means they have the ability to do it, but will they? What's the carrot? Do the reps have a month-end quota they have to meet? If I waste enough of their time in the store, then make a move to walk out due to lower prices on line, will they bite? Figuring I'll probably just go Amazon Wireless or Costco off the bat to save the headache and a few bucks.

The realist in me is saying $299, which seems to be quickly becoming standard. However, the optimist in me is hoping that they'll stick with $199 to make up for this debacle of a launch and to make the Nexus more competitive.

Seems odd that the device is apparently so close to release, yet no flash size or price is known (at least from a leak standpoint). Seems for every "leak" another cancels it out.

I seriously doubt that $199 price shown in the poorly timed online ads is correct. I'm planning on having to pay $299 for this thing. $199 would just be a welcome surprise.

Why are people still confused as to weather 16 GB or 32 GB. Google's tech specs indicate 32GB for LTE sporting the 1850 may battery at a girth of 9.47 mm...

I dunno, probably the same reason people confuse weather and whether. You have to admit, it got a little confusing there before the Verizon chart leaked showing 32GB, and Google with its website spec changes. I don't really think Verizon's going to carry two models, but then again, I won't be surprised if I'm wrong.
