Ya me to there should be no way it would make it through the system without it being scanned, but that doesnt make sense that they would have the package and than recieve shipping info you know?

I'm curious, how is it that several people ordered a day or more after me and their orders have already been shipped but mine just now says its processing?

I am concerned because when I ordered online I tried using my $100 Verizon Visa rebate card from the Droid that I purchased in store then returned later. I was hoping it would let me put the remaining balance on my other CC, but it didn't it just processed the order.

Being that I technically still owe them another $100 to pay in full I am worried that this order won't process properly and as a result won't ship to be by the 29th. :mad:

Anyone have thoughts on why my order hasn't processed yet and so many others placed after me have? Is anyone else in this same boat? Should I be worried?

I'm sure your orders are lost and won't be received until May 2 after VZ raises it's data rates to $45 effective May 1 for new activations.:D

I think someone did say earlier in the thread (who'd worked at either UPS or FedEx, IIRC) that packages could possibly miss being scanned at a depot. But I'm guessing is that the likelier scenario is like MrSmoofy said - they're probably not in any hurry to deliver them, since they weren't promised to us until the 29th anyway. But if FedEx says we'll get them on the 28th, I think we will.

BTW, my status on Verizon's website hasn't been updated yet. It still says my order has been processed. Additionally, my phone had already been picked by Fedex before I even received the email from Verizon giving me the tracking #.

n/m CSR said that it was sold out on the website but they had them in stock at there location, got me one ordered up!

I don't think there's a real way for anyone outside of Verizon to have a real & legitimate answer for that.

If your status does not change by 4 or 5pm today, it might be worth giving them a call.

Remember that as long as it ships by Wed. the 28th, you'll still have it by the 29th. :)

My shipping info came thru last night about 4 hours after most in the same order # range as me. When it did come thru the status info was right up to speed with everyone else who had received their notice earlier.
 
haha ya im not worried about getting them i just think its weird that the shipping info would be in that order, i used to work for fedex, so im not worried about them shipping late, they are a good company or else they wouldnt be one of the leaders in shipping

No, but tomorrow is good....it needs to get on the truck for delivery...oh so close...enjoy!!!
 
one thing i do know is FedEx is all electronic the packages gets sorted into trailers electronically so there is less a chance for errors, but obviously with the amount of packages that come through there, it is still a chance a package could get pushed into the wrong trailer without being scanned. I am not worried about it just happy that it has been shipped offf and i will get it soon!

Called Verizon as my order processed yesterday afternoon but I haven't gotten shipping info yet. The lady I spoke with said that it will not ship until the 28th and that I won't get tracking info until then. :(

Maybe the shipping information goes along a separate path. My shipping information was received at 3:19am. Perhaps because the shipping information could not be entered until Monday? Though that slowdown in Memphis is pissing me off. Second time something from Fedex has been delayed there.
 
Hmm... I'm order # 327429xxx and my order status has been "Your order has been processed. You should receive your order within 2 - 3 business days." since the weekend. 32744xxxx above me has a tracking number already. Not complaining, just providing more statistics for everyone. Last day of regular classes is Wednesday, so I'll have my butt parked in a chair Thursday waiting for my Incredible. :D
