Root [1st Gen] A stable root methods and rom?

I don't see a guide on this yet so wanted to ask about the most stable root for the KF. I saw somewhere that rooting caused trouble for amazon streaming services and someone had racked that, but I lost the link and wasn't sure how stable the aakf rooting had become.

Its a whole lot stable in my experience. Its something that I would recommend you doing. I'm right now running Energy CM9 Raven Kernel and PowerARM processor and clocked it a top speed of 1.3GHz. I don't have time to walk you through all the steps of the process to doing it right now since I've got to take a shower and head out the door in about 30 minutes lol, but I'll walk you through everything once I get back :)

Raven's kernel only goes up to 1.2 GHz. ;)

Hi, I don't have any question, but I do need a guide to root my KF. I cannot stand limited apps installing any more :mad:. I just want to have a dictionary for my study, but I could not install it after all :(. My brother has an Android phone, I asked him to save the apps and send it to me. I have to wait for days or weeks though, coz I'm in another country now (I'm not american either). I don't know why but I could not install the Dictionary.com app from Android market. I think the best way for me now is to my KF. I'm really looking for a full rooting guide. And why is the topic deleted anyway?

Ya, I don't why they did it...I had spent a good 45min-1hour typing up that whole thread and then with in 30 minutes it was gone. I've sent you a PM about it. Wondering if you knew why or could find out why? Were you able to get to it before they took down?

I don't know that personally myself. I was the one who had spent almost an hour of my time creating the Thread Post myself. I haven't heard anything from the moderators as to why they deleted and am still waiting on their reason. The thread that I started was a list of the Custom ROMs that the amazing Developers over at XDA-Forums have been working so hard on for the Kindle Fire Community. If you want a full step-by-step guide on rooting your kindle, I suggest you checking out nat3mil's video. I am thinking that your on the latest 6.2.2 version right?

So, if I want to root my KF, I should follow these guides? Or is there any other guide in this forum (I mean androiforums.com). Please give me some advices. Thanks!
p/s: My KF is 6.2.2
