Root [1st Gen] Accidentally Deleted build.prop on Kindle fire

Now I am stuck on kindle fire start up screen! I am able to get to recovery, but not sure what to do on there! Am i screwed??

did you make a backup? if not just reflash the rom.

err sadly no( I know stupid) How do i reflash the rom?

go to the recovery screen and install it from there. if you dont have the rom on your sd card you can plug the kindle in and mount the usb from recovery then add it to a folder then flash it after that.

When I plug it in to the computer it doens't reconise it

when you plug it in, check the drivers and see if that shows up. delete the drivers then plug the kindle back in. should automatically install the drivers. when you plugged it in, you pressed the mount button right? (just wanna make sure you did that incase you forgot)

You need to enable the USB connection in recovery. Search through the menus it's in there somewhere.
