Hey everyone,
I rooted my kindle over the weekend and now whenever I try and watch online video, the site doesn't load. Also, whenever I open the YouTube app, it force closes. Also, the twitter app was doing the same thing. Is this a known issue? Not sure how to fix it... Thanks for any help!

Well, for us to be more of a help to you we need to know what ROM you rooted to and what method of rooting did you use. It helps us out more to help you when you give us the details about what your rooted Kindle Fire is running

Have you removed or frozen any stock apps? If so, what apps? Some video apps don't let you view videos if you are rooted. Just let us know and we'll get it figured out.

It would also help if he told us what he rooted to ROM wise. I mean not saying anything just saying that he rooted is no help at all, and yes please tell if you have any video apps frozen.

Root is possible without changing roms. Many folks root to remove bloatware, or perceived bloatware, from the stock rom. For example, I have a rooted GNex running the stock rom. Sometimes folks freeze an apk not realizing that it is a system file that handles the functionality at the API level, a common one is messaging. 3rd party messaging apps rely on this for OS level handling of messages, where a users sees it as the app currently handling their IM's. The KF is a little different in that it is an extreme variant on stock Android but it is still built over the open source code so the same Android calls to the underlying linux system are still in place.

I hope this helps.
