Root [1st Gen] May have bricked Fire trying to install TWRP

Last night I tried to install TWRP recovery on my Fire. I followed the instructions, made sure I had the recovery file in the same folder as adb and fastboot. When I ran the commands (can't repeat them now, as the xda site seems to be down), I got a message saying "fastboot not found", even though I ran it from that directory on my computer. Thinking it didn't work, I pressed the disconnect button on my Fire, disconnected USB. Everything still appeared normal, but then I shut down the Kindle and restarted. Now all I get is the splash screen. I also tried the hard reset by holding the power button down 20 seconds and still only get the splash screen. Now when I plug my Fire into my computer via USB, it's not even recognized. Can anyone help, please?

Edit: Solved. Please delete
