Root [1st Gen] stuck on rooting step

I've followed jcase's tutorial video exactly and I'm stuck on the adb root step in command prompt. I keep getting error: device not found

what could be the issue?

Sounds like you need to reinstall the driver...

If you go to youtube to watch the video there are several links at th ebottom of the page. One of them has the correct driver in it. If you didn't already, download it and install or update your driver.

I used Widget Locker to get mine like this, I know my name is there but I don't care.

I had the same problem, all I needed to do was restart my computer and try it again.
