Root [1st Gen] TWRP / FFF without root.

[KX4SAM]

Kindle fire 6.3.1.
Kindle fire utility does not run correctly, reboots into TWRP. I have FFF, and TWRP.

No applications can gain root access. The install google apps reports SU: Permission denied.

Do I have root, and a problem with SuperUser, or really no root?

Are you even sure super user is installed? If not you'll need to flash it through twrp for root access.
