Mine stopped sendng and receiving text messages.


Edit: new phone same issue.
AT&T screwed up my account, so after being on the phone for 1 hour they figured it out.

That's odd.Sounds more like a network issue.

It's not. I took it to the at&t store they could not get it to work.

Did you try doing a hard reset?Or did you try another messaging app from the market?
This could be a problem with an app also that's conflicting with your sms.
Is it all text or just mms (picture messages)?
I have never heard of this happening.Just curious to whats going on.
You also want to be sure message forwarding is turned to off under general text settings.And under sms settings service center number must be correct.+13123149810 is mine.Im not sure all at&t locations are the same but most likely are.
Half of the reps at at&t stores have no clue what there doing.
I guess if there sending you a new one i wouldn't be too concerned about it but it would be nice to know what caused this to start happening.

Well if an app from the market works for messages it is a prob with the stock htc message app.Good luck with your new vivid.I love mine and no problems yet.
