Well, haven't seen an issue with it going from 3G to 1X at all. It depends which PRL you are on and where you live. If the new PRL gave you this, then switch back to an older PRL. 3030 gave me the 3G always but, had slower internet speed than previous PRLS. So for right now I'm still on 3026. It really doesn't entirely focus on what PRL but also involves where you live :creep::thumbup:

yea i am in kissimmee fl i went back to prl-3029 same thing

3030 actually gave me more 3G (boosted my speed to around 800kbps too). This is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area though.

Ive noticed the same thing here in Deltona,FL, frequent to Orlando. I havent seen a 1x signal in a long time and lately i've seen it everyday. I also seen to never get more than one or two bars of 3g with this new perl, guess im going back as well.

Wow, that's funny. I was about to update my PRL through QPST and it seems MetroPCS automatically updated my PRL to 3030 from 3029 today.

Here in Rockledge/Viera (Brevard County),Fl area I always have the 3G and have yet to see any thing else. I guess I need to travel more...

I finally checked my PRL on my phone.. It said it was 1007. I tried the *228 and updated roaming list.. still didnt change the prl.. so I finally followed the steps to update my prl using qpst. Fixed the problem!!!
