Root 2.1 Dialer vs 2.2 Dialer

I don't know if anyone had said this but, I really like the 2.2 dialer (found in froyos like kaos) vs the 2.1 dialer. I use dialer one, but inevitably the main dialer makes and stops the call. Does anyone know of a 2.1 ROM that exists with a 2.2 dialer or if the two can coexist on one ROM?
