2.1 For Mytouch 3G

I'm guessing we still haven't gotten the 2.1 update yet :( I haven't gotten a notification for one yet

Is the 3.5mm MT3G even rootable yet, I mean is there a stable and nice ROM out there. Because when I went to root mine, there wasn't...

Yes, but you will have to make a gold card.....
 
Ugh I tried to do that in the past and a Sandisk and then a random didn't work. I guess I have to stick with the Kingston everyone refers to?
 
im thinking it will be no better than before. if anything a lil bit worse , being that the update is gnna take up some more internal memory
 
The best thing any MT3G owner can do, short of buying a better phone, is to root and install CyanogenMod. It speeds up the phone and gives you 2.1.

We might be waiting forever for an official update, and like BigMerf suggests, the speed probably won't be any better.
 
I read that if I root there was still a way that I could receive the OTA, how is that? And I'm really thinking about rooting but if I bricked my phone I'd be in so much trouble ><
 
Well, if you root your phone, it can be undone if you want to get it updated whenever it is available. Go to TheUnlockr.com - Cell Phone How To's, Phone Reviews, and Wireless News! ----->you will see more info there.

I have rooted my myt3g with eclair 2.1. It is fast but i can't fully access my phone when it's being charged. I just want to know how can i get CyanogenMod 5.0. I have heard good things about it. Can any one give me a link for a step by step guide.
