2.1 Lock

I figured out a cool way of getting a different "lockscreen" (in a way) on the Eris with 2.1

Download the app myLock (beta) from the market. (Don't download myLock complete beta) Go into the app, and press toggle lockscreen skip.

Now you can go to settings>security and make an unlock pattern. Now when you lock your phone and press the unlock key, you go straight to the pattern unlock screen and the app bypasses the htc lock screen. Pretty sweet. You even get the cool eclair clock on there!

I think I am just confused and don't understand why 2.1 matters? Couldn't you do this with 1.5? I'll try it out now...

*Edit, OK I see what you mean now. I don't have to swype down to unlock, it just skips that part, then I can go do my unlock pattern. Good find.

anyways, thats an excellent idea even if to just turn off the slide down lock screen! (nobody really likes pulling down the lock, i hit just menu).
