2.1 OTA Beginning 5/11/2010

Ft Wayne IN, nothing yet. Just purchased the phone Tuesday so I'm hoping for the update soon before I start getting it set up the way I like.
 
Well this isn't promising. This was posted on xda.

Guy said he had leak v3. We might be out of luck until they get the zip file out.
 
I woke up this morning to a text from my nephew saying he got his update at 12:34am.he was running 1.5 and his GF is running the same but had not received the update yet.They live in Illinois.As for me with the 2.1v3 leak,nothing yet.Ilive in Nebraska:mad:
 
diddly here.

i kinda have to wonder about what was asked above, google maps having pinch to zoom. while it would be cool, it seems like that would be something much harder than having a browser pinch to zoom, and dunno if its worth it for them to put in...
 
To the ones who have already received the OTA update: does it have the 3D photo gallery like the Verizon PDF mentioned?

I'm running the 2.1 v3 leak and it did NOT come with the gallery.
 
Wow its nice to have access to the forums again...couldn't get on last nighty I guess because site crashed.

Im in houston bought phone in november running leak 3 and no ota yet....

Im surprised it has not been posted yet somewhere....kind of worries me.

Im in PA, and nothing here yet.
Tried a checkin this morning around 7, and 8:30. Still appears to be useless.
I wish there were some simple directions on how to share with everyone. As of now to be honest, I will just go ahead and grab it myself because I have no idea how to do what that XDA post describes.

Yes. Clearly that is not the case. Although that is exactly how it was explained when the tip was first shared with everyone here. It was supposed to force updates.
I did it a few times throughout yesterday, and already twice this morning, and I havent received anything.
What exactly does it do though?

Stamp your feet, hold your breath until you turn blue, and pull your hair out by the roots. After you do all that, Verizon should send the OTA within minutes.

My theory on it is that it's like pinging the main servers to just let them know your phone is online and checking in.
