2.1 OTA Beginning 5/11/2010

Regarding the signal bars bug, hasn't this also been reported on the Incredible? I think it's a 2.1/HTC thing, and it doesn't appear they have fixed it.

I must admit it's pretty annoying.

All it takes is one single person to do it and it's done. And believe me, I'm chilled. :) Just curious why someone hasn't done this yet when it does not require that much effort to do and would end all the pointless banter/speculation/posts in this thread about when everyone will get the official update.

I'm with you on that, 99% of the stuff over on xda is another language to me.

In my little view, it doesn't mean anything....as long as you have 3G or 1X....the bars are just cosmetics.
 
Did you find out how to get your Swype working again? I have the same problem. I re-installed from the Swype Installer I had downloaded before with 1.5 and it just doesn't work. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I agree. I have no idea what the XDA instructions mean. So Kev, maybe no one has done it because the majority of us have no idea how. Not everyone on here is a programmer.

it will not send it to the SD card.Nephew didnt have enough space on his phone,he had to uninstall apps then had to redo update.

Now Frisco, you are the only one who actually reads my posts...Our fellow Droid users don't seem to understand the relaxation effects of green tea. They seem to be more into the high octane effets of caffeine...However I did just rediscover Cranberry Pomegranate Green Tea!
 
Yep, not really sure how to do the thing at the XDA forums. I downloaded the SDK on my PC and typed in adb logcat > logcat_accept.txt and it just says waiting for device. So if guys really want to know the URL to the leak please make tell us how to do this. I ven have USB debugging turned on so I'm not sure what's wrong.

Man, this is killing me..... I had 2.1v3 on my phone and called VW with a trackball issue and they sent me a replacement the next day. They asked about the software but didn't care because they said it was a hardware issue.... So now, I am sitting here back at 1.5 and missing 2.1.. =/ Ugh

I think what Kevkelsar is trying to say is that once we have the file we can give it to anyone to manually and you guys will no longer have to wait. It should benefit nearly everyone

Well Kev said it doesn't require too much effort. So you are probably doing it wrong (sarcasm).
