On the power control widget does anyone know the purpose of the button to the left of the brightness key (sunshine tab)
At first I thought it was for the 3G but it does not have any affect on it

It turns AutoSync on and off, If it is turned off, you will notice your Weather will stop updating automatically, along with gmail and facebook sync as well (all in the background).. But, your battery will probably last a bit longer :)

its great for saving battery. I can't have my phone going off with email alerts all day, so I turn sync off untill I'm ready to check it.

Are all of the buttons one-click toggles ? Or, does hitting them simply take you to the built-in setting to enable or disable ?

It's pre-installed on 2.1, I do know that. It's an "Android widget", not something you have to download. Tap the "+" sign, "Android widget", then see if "Power Control" is available.

Im on 1.5 and its not available so Ill assume its only on 2.1 unless there is a way to get it on 1.5? That would be awesome!

what theme are you using to make your bottom toolbar (menu launcher, phone launcher, and add widget button) to look like that?

i like it, i want in :)

Awesome widget. One question: why is the mobile network not on there? That's the biggest power drain of all, and if I'm in a crunch, turning that off will pretty much halt battery drain until I can get to a charger.

Oh well, guess I'll keep this and the mobile network HTC widget up.

If you're in a crunch, just hold the lock/sleep button and turn on airplane mode...
