Root 2.1 question please

Is there anyone running 2.1 on a Motorola Droid yet and if so how does it work and where can I get it please Verizon is taking to long

The only way your going to get 2.1 right now is too root and flash a new recovery

HERE is a guide to get to a stable 2.0.1 rom with almost all the 2.1 features and HERE is a great and very stable 2.1 ROM your could restore instead of the 2.0.1 ROM with 2.1 features, take your pick!
