Is your phone rooted at all?
 
already have rooted my phone, and xrecovery, what i'm trying now to install is apps2sd, link2sd keeps rebooting my phone so it doesn't work, is there something i'm missing, I have rootexplorer on my phone and busybox all working properly

Guys.... I was able to install xRecovery successfully and tried app2sd today. All went well but there is no app2sd icon anywhere, I means its not there in the applications!!! What could go wrong? Everything went according to the tutorial (even the superuser permission was asked) but dont see app2sd anywhere!

P.S. I had a 2gb card but bought a 4gb and transfered all the files from 2gb to 4gb before doing the partition. Please help...

Hey suhel28. Did like u said. copied those file directly in C drive and did. it worked. build.prop was made after coding :)

What i couldnt find is "dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit" ????

alrite i copied the dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit at the end :)

Also done with Jit. the code ran properly and phone rebooted.
THE MAX QUADRANT SCORE I SAW WAS 500. is it ok ?
 
I believe sir that I have found the problem, I tested the xrecovery with my 2gb, and it is working fine, then I tested the xrecovery on my partitioned 4gb, and it always fails, so it must be the same for the apps2sd, sir suhel, my 4gb memory card has the label hc then 4, I wonder what that means, the 4 definitely is not for 4gb since it is also there, it is a kingston micro sd, any suggestions?

Xrecovery doesn't depend upon SDcard its installed on phone not sdcard
 
i replaced my class 4 kingston 4gb memory card with a class 2 kingmax sd card, and now I have managed to install both xrecovery and apps2sd with ease yippeee, it might be the same for some who fails to install their apps2sd and xrecovery.
 
you probably had the same problem as mine, check the class of your sd card, I know this sounds weird but my former sd card was class 4 it was only 4gb, now I replaced it with a class 2 4gb, and it works fine now

JIT - BOOST UR PHONE SPEED


DOWNLOAD THIS

STEP 1 - >

Run -> Cmd

type

this will copy the build.prop to C:\
PS : MAKE AN EXTRA COPY OF THIS FILE YOU'LL NEED IT LATER

STEP 2 - >
edit the build.prop (with help of notepad)


find and change this:

debug.sf.hw=1
at the end of the whole mess (yes it is):

dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit
save the changes..

STEP 3 - >

now extract the downloaded file to SDCARD

FOLLOW THESE STEPS

after that you must copy and overwrite the mod built.prop (the one which you added and edited) to folder

and the original build.prop to

LAST STEP

enable JIT

run->cmd
type adb shell
type su

and your phone will reboot with JIT enable.

There are some online sites which would tell you your card class based upon speed it takes to copy files... do some googling
 
hi i have a question...i am a noob for this and i have a SE X8 i rooted it withe the superone click...now when i go to install app2sd i make the partions and then i connect my phone...and go to the cmd and i write down adb shell...and it says adb is not recognized as an internal or external comand, operable program or a batch file.

what must i do? i dont understand where to put the app2sd files...i have put it just on the sd card where all the folders are...please help!

there's JiT autoinstall in the xda devs forum. Is anyone tried it?? i think it's easier to do that than adb
