Root 2.1 Root Google acct problem

Hey guys, i just updated my Eris to 2.1. When i start it up, i give the google account info and the password and it all works good. But when i turn my phone on every time, it says there is a problem with my Google Account because the password is incorrect or your account has changed. It isnt the password that is wrong?


Any idea how to get it to work and remember the password?

I was hoping to unroot back to 1.5 but i dont think that is possible.

which version of 2.1 are you running? the new or old leak?

old leak- Google sign-in error exists
new leak- Google sign-in error does not exit

But when i followed those instructions, i hit down volume and power....and there was no option to reinstall it.

I have the option to Fast Boot (which did nothing) and Recovery, which just froze my phone.

yeah i seen that problem in the other thread. IDK whats the deal with that. I really think its these links that these people are putting up but once again I could be wrong.

yeah i know thats not what you wanna hear but chime in on the other thread where their talking about this and maybe someone soon will come with a fix for the issue.
 
make sure the file you dl is 104 mb. something less than that and you've got a problem. Also try using send and end together instead of volume down and end.
 
its also weird because when I put the first 2.1 leak up their, i pressed the volume buttons for the update and now with this new 2.1 leak, i pressed the trackball to update. Weird
 
yeah i think the problem are all these links that are being passed out are incomplete which in return are giving update issues. Im glad i grabbed the first link last night. If I was you I would pm the creator of the original thread and see if he can drop another link for the leak and try that way. Or possible ask someone to post the exact same link that worked for them in the update process.
 
True but even if i get the right link, i still have to get it to install. Or would it install since its a different file?

Yeah thats what im saying, you may get a correct file and then if its correct and have all the update files in it, then it will probably proceed. I dont see why it wouldnt.

yeah what I would do is find a person on the other thread that say they just installed and worked fine and then ask them what link they used and try it and see. Its nothing but just trying different files almost at this point.
 
Hey all i got it fixed.

I had to completely delete everything on my SD card and just put the 2.1 root file on there and it works like a charm.
