Root [2.1 THEME] X10 Res Mods v1.8| xRecovery | 2.1.A.0.435 | Update 01/02/11

oh i c, erm i just done mine :), i use the theme of 3, and messeging from 4, phonebook from 2, but i prefer the lock from 4. just duno how to find n change theme :)
 
v1.5 is up. :)

Change Log:

New background, new Settings Menu icons, changed Screen Press colour, new Notification pull down bar, changed Statusbar icons, new Battery icon (still percentage mod) and a few new Menu Icons throughout the included apks.
 
Looking a lot better in the menu and settings - not sure about the background though lol

like a chess board on LSD lmao

I quite like it, solid black looks crap so the shapes give it a bit of contrast.

Thanks, although my next venture is going to be a rom I think, will still be an S.E rom but with all the crap removed, theme applied, J.I.T and root enabled which I might get done for the weekend.
 
yeah the solid colour lacks depth, thats why i liked the leatheresque background you had in v3 or v4

or was it v2 ??

i don't know

but hey - loving it, besides, got 3, 4 and 5 saved on Laptop so can switch when i feel like it - do prefer the circular battery though

hehehe i have so many different likes and dislikes i'm sure am a woman lol

And it's like trying to please one too making it, as not everyone likes everything, but when you know how to mod you can create your own, which kind of lead to me making mine. :)

after thinking and thinking then thinking some more, i decided that i would be brave enough to try this.
i was really wary about having to set the permission to get -rwsr- but followed the instructions to the letter and it worked.

love the theme it looks so much better than the stock one and i like the fact now my notification bar is black too

can i install this over your emminence rom?
i had the theme at first and think it looked better than the rom, especially with the added powerkey functions?

Thanks. :) xRecovery is a lot more reliable than using Chewitts installer so you shouldn't encounter any issues with installing from now on.

Sorry to here (**HEAR**) that you decided to continue with RES instead of EMINENCE - though they are BOTH excellent

Only query i have for 1.6 ((of RES that is, not android lol)) is this

In the menu's and widget selections etc - do you still have the "3D" swooping effect or was that only with EMINENCE ROM
 
x10user is it possible if i want to use eminence backround to replace res mod v1.6 backround? cuz i like the eminence backround it look really cool..?
if possible where n how to change them? thanks u :)

Thanks. :) The ROM allowed me to improve my skill set some what so I'm glad I've had a go, but I prefer just changing the look to the function.

Yeah I've used them in this too, and until I find something better will be sticking with them as they are pretty good.

Nice one, must admit it looks so much better than any other android device nowadays, which is just testament to your skillset no doubt

although launcherpro does seem to run smoother than ADW i think i'll go back as can't change icons on desktop with launcherpro (or can you)

just like you, i prefer to change the look
 
you dont have a copy of 1.6 available for download do you?
i really liked that one and can only find 1.5 on my laptop. :(
unless it was 1.5 i had but i dont think that worked with xrecovery.
if not does 1.8 work with .024 fw?
i like some of the earlier status icons better tho

thanks for your response, i must have 1.6 somewhere i just cant find it, will need to check my works comp incase i installed it from there
 
just had another thought, i have res mods 1.6 installed on my 2.1 which is your eminence rom, i could mix the back ups from her phone and from mine yeah?
as in use the system file from my backup and use her data file which should give the 1.6 res mods ontop of eminence but have her contacts, apps etc.

would this work?
