Thanks for posting that. I am glad that they clarified about not everyone receiving it day one.... it is a roll out which means that the process will take time to reach everyone.

My concern is that there are fewer and fewer new apps which are backwards (ie. 1.6) compatible. Skype is a big one in question.
It's becoming more obvious and it's a bit of a pain.
<worry>And even then, how long will it be before we're left behind on 2.1 as others progress from 2.2 to 3.0? </worry>
Do you know MrW, I don't think that it will make much difference to me, I'll probably just download the Eclair ADW and have it all set up the same as I currently do cos its just easier for this old gal to do it that way. I have really struggled to get to grips with the hysteria over the upgrade.
Watch them release it Nov. 30. Cuz they wouldn't be wrong if they did that, it's still November haha.
And seriously, I already made a list of apps i really want/need with 2.1. So I think majority of people aren't looking for SE's so called "improvements" but more so the apps that require 2.1 hence all the angry people.
Wouldn't bug me at all if it were Nov. 30 -- I'm patient. It's only a month. But I'd anticipate we'll see it more mid-November.
We'll see though. It'll get here when it gets here. I haven't had any limitations on what I can do with my phone based on 1.6 other than angry birds, so *shrugs* rofl.
I keep my expectations low.. saves me from disappointment
