2.1 update.

[jhnelo]

I updated my x10 to 2.1 today an I don't like the way the messaging system is. I get really confused who wrote the last text in the thread as it doesn't say like it did in version 1.6. Any way to over come this? And does anyone think it really slow loading the thread up? Thanks

You could always try an app. I prefer Handcent SMS but I know others speak very highly of chomp sms.

Never used the stock messaging app from day 1. I'm with rosered here, Handcent does the job for me.

Never used anything but the stock, never had any issues with it, and it's easy to tell who's said what as your txts are on one side and the recipients is on the other.

I used the stock SMS on 1.6 and it was fine but with the 2.1, the lag on opening and the quirks got to me and I started using Handcent SMS, so far I like it very much.
