2.11.605.5 OTA Update Has Started

I called VZW today and they told me I needed to call HTC about not getting the update. I don't want a refurbished phone. It's no different then doing a factory reset.
 
My battery life with the extended battery SUCKS after this update now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take it off the charger at 8am with 100%, by 5pm with only 5 texts the last two days the battery life is down to ~60%. My extended battery never ever drained that fast!!!!
 
If you got the update in the last week your cache could still be building up and once it has rebuilt it should get better. When the OTA come in in wipes cache for the radios, the cache partition of the phone itself, and dalvik cache which is used by the virtual machine the phone itself uses. Dalvik is rebuilt upon boot but the other 2 are rebuilt over time via use

:mad: Seems the opposite is happening - at least on my phone. When I got the first GB update, battery was great. As time went on, it went to shyt. Now, getting the 14Mb "refresher" same thing has happened. First few days - great battery, but it is trending to terrible again.

Wow I missed that completely ;) I didn't get the OTA so I had no idea about the size. You might want to check your sync settings and apps that are running in the background to make sure something isn't acting up

Well, I'm inches away from jumping off the "rooting" cliff, so I will deal with it until I jump - or trip - over the edge.

*looks at phone* yeah gotta be something draining ur battery. it aint the update cause im on 66% with 10hrs 42m unplugged with lots of usage. and on combination wifi/3G and auto sync enabled

I stopped all the running programs, I restarted it several times, and I pulled the battery for a few minutes. Now its acting weird!!! I want to go back to when I first pulled the phone out of the box back at the end of March. The last two updates have really f@#&$% my phone up!!!!!!!!!

One other thing, I'm getting alot of force close with some programs....WTF
 
My TB updated yesterday, previous OTA didn't happen for me.

Huge improvements for me, this issues seem to have been resolved:

- constantly the Mobile Network was disconnected, had to open settings and uncheck/recheck mobile network or restart phone, very annoying

- 4G is on 99% of the time, before the update it was 3G almost all the time

- battery life - seems great so far
 
looks like finally battery life is great - my phone has been off charger for about 9 hours with moderate use, and it's still at 80%, this is with the extended battery.

Before the update, it would be somewhere between 40-50 % around this time

My mobile hotspot keeps messing up since the update. It will say its on and my computer locates it, but it doesn't show the mobile hotspot symbol in the status bar and my computer says no internet access. I have to constantly reset. Come on Razr.:mad:
 
After the OTA, I had an issue with handcent not letting me attach photo's, so I uninstalled it and when I tried to download it again in Market, I could not find it.

ANyone else having an issue finding Handcent?

The update changed my security password to my phone #
