I apologize if this has been addressed already but if I take the plunge into the new leaked update I cannot restore my previous nandroids correct? T'would be bad?
Just wondering
i have bootloader 30.01 and Running Rubix 1.8.6 which puts the Android version at 2.2.1
now i thought when the system changes to 2.2.1 that the bootloader will be 30.04 or something. Am I wrong? or is my phone just weird
No. Rubix 1.8.6 is loosely based on 2.2.1 files but not a full fledged 2.2.1 Leak Rom. Thats what RubiX1.9.3 is.

Just wondering, but how has the 2.2.1 worked out for you so far? I've held off on updating my version until it gets more "officiall-y". Do you see better battery life out of it in conjunction with rubix?

Furthermore, restoring data through Titanium backup would also be bad, right? But restoring apps is OK?
I restored data through Titanium Backup (NOT THROUGH NANDROID) and did not have any issue. I am on the 2.2.1 leak and restored apps and data from 2.2 (using Titanium) and everything worked perfectly.
That said, I did exactly what GrandMasterB did and immediately deleted all of my old nandroids just to be safe.
+1 just make sure you don't restore any system apps or data.
