Help 2.2 android keyboard autocorrecting even though its off

So after the update, even though in the settings for android keyboard i have autocorrect turned off, its autocorrecting all over the place, and being more hyper vigilant about it than ever before, the old tricks like starting to type the next word than going back to correct the word the way i wanted isnt working. Help! Also, the ".com" button is gone, which is something i used ALOT, and when i select the url space, it doesnt automatically select the entire text so i can just start typing away, i now have to press and hold, hit "select all text" then i can type in what i want. Oh! And the maximum number of pages i can open is now 4, it used to be 8!
