Help 2.2 Internal SD Mass Storage mode

my car has a USB port. when my phone had 2.1, i could plug the phone into the car and play music stored on the phone's 12GB internal SD storage. since i updated to 2.2, the car will ONLY see the external SD card. did something change with the internal filesystem with the 2.2 upgrade? my windows machine still sees both the internal and external storage when i connect the phone.

In Android 2.2 was introduced a more flexible USB port that not only allows the connection with PC, but also to install standalone disks of big size. Supposedly it allows also keyboards, mouse and some other devices. For this is required an special kind of plugs to convert normal into a female starndard A USB.
In order to go back to normal use its needed to switch option SDMassStorage, which is found in Notification Area.
