FreeX10 Froyo 2.2 ROM

Info:
FreeX10 is a clean, fast and stable rom for Xperia X10 based on AOSP and CM sources. Currently in beta version.

If you want to help in development in any way, please:
1. Check the link below, there are device-specific patches, some clues and more released (all you need to compile custom Froyo rom)
2. Drop me a PM, I reply to all dev-related messages

Known bugs:
- closing certain apps/activities cause ROM to crash/reboot ('SD Card is safe to remove')
- Youtube / Adobe Flash status uncertain (already used my whole 3g data allowance

)
- more to be reported


Please DON'T report the following bugs:

- FLASHING LAUNCHER + NO GSM = PLEASE REBOOT!
- no camcorder recording (please DON'T use camcorder, it will most likely crash)
- no native wifi/usb tethering (kernel related)
- closing certain apps/activities cause ROM to crash/reboot ('SD Card is safe to remove')
- new Market FC (it's not ROM related issue, log into the old market at least once before installing the new one)

Requirements:
1. Rooted 2.1 ROM (multitouch kernel recommended) You don't have it? Check Bin4ry's Dualtouch for all ROMS [GUIDE]
2. working xRecovery


Installation:
1. Flash the zip package via xRecovery
2. After the first boot, flash Google Apps via xRecovery

Sorry I posted this in the main Xperia X10 forum shortly after you, as I keep forgetting about the root sub-forum...silly me lol

I was messing with this all day yesterday. Everything not mentioned in the thread seems to work really well, except any apps that utilize the camera (like Goggles or Google Shopper), the image is all messed up.

I'm back on Eminence now, though, I use Shopper all the time.

apparantly those apps in 2.2 are meant to run 32bit color where the X10 is only 16bit hence the issues.
i dont use my camera much but i do need it and so far 2.2 has been fine, no issues but beta 3 is now out!

I keep reading that the camcorder isn't working with this 2.2 ROM.

What version is your x10? Have you tried it with success?

I really want to flash this ROM, but the camera is one of the main reasons I keep this crap phone. lol

IM using it with the latest hot fix,and Im using vingete for the camera with a auto flash feature.But the camcorder doesnt work,the rom othereise is flawless

Battery performance? Speed?

I really like this rom ,i loved Emience to. This one is faster and enables APPS2SD,give it a try. You could always revert to what you are currently using if you dont like it

I will eventually. I love HD video recording though. Did the battery life improve at all?
