I think T-Mobile counts as a specific carrier. I really don't know where Sprint has grounds to make this claim...and I don't really care, as long as I get my Froyo

I think the word trick was first to do this ... to customers using the EVO 4G.

Later, Verizon will be first to do the same thing ... to customers using the Droid X.

Good catch...it was available on multiple carries and Google pushed out the update:
