2.2 Successful now for adjustments

Hello All, yesterday my Samsung intercept was successfully updated to froyo, though thankful for the update I would like to make some adjustment. How to disable 3g and save some battery. How to get all the bloat ware deleted and how to get a different lock program instead of the slide lock? If this means rooting my phone, I'm all for it. Any information will be greatly appreciated

thank you

thank you
for shutting off 3g
there should be something in settings to shut off 3g (idk v-mobile's ec07) im still trying to flash v-mobile's ec07
for removing v-mobile bloatware
i think theres a few apps out there they require root check sdx\xda there may be a tut for removing bloatware df27\di06 but i dont think it makes a differance the information in the tut should be relevant to v-mobile's ec07
for the slide lock im not sure you may want to do a google search

what baseband did you have before you flashed ec07
im running v-mobile 2.1 stock rom, kernel, recovery, etc but my baseband is dl05
if you had df27\dl05 before and were successful could you please help me out

i hope this helped in some way if not
hey at least i tried

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll keep searching for the quickest and safest way to root my phone. It's a must, as I rooted my HTC Eris and I'm so used to being able to customize my phone to my desire. Any suggestion on which ROM to flash? I was using a cyanogen based ROM.
