Root 2.2 unlock to answer, and the dialer?

I have a rooted 2.2 on my dx, when I unlock to answer it works fine, but the dialer isn't shown. Is this the default? I have tasker doing things on unlocking, so it is most likely that, but I'm just checking others. Also, if I'm on a home screen, while on the phone the taskbar flashes a nice green which is cool, but I want the dialer up so I can put it on speaker. When I click dialer, it allows me to dial, but not put in speaker, is there another screen somewhere to give me the speaker button?
