Root 2.2 Update fails

Hi, I have been checking out these forums for a while, trolling the good advice. Today though I definately need some of my own.

My Evo is unrevoked and is running:
Build:147.651.0 CL195459 release-keys
PRI 1.34_003
PRL 60668.

The problem is that I've downloaded the OTA and used "install now". The phone tries to update but I get this error.
Build: Ra-evo-v1.7.0.1
Findining update package..
opening update package..
verifying update package..
E:no signature (624) files
E:verification failed. Installation aborted.

I have tried to manually download the froyo.zip, rename it to update.zip and force it to flash from the recovery console - with the same results.

Can anyone give me some advice for this problem?

Are you positive you are renaming it update.zip? If you have file extensions turned off in windows (this is default setting) then you are probably naming it update.zip.zip
 
its a unrevoked issue. only way is to flash to the later RUU stock rom. Which hasnt worked for many.
