Help 2.2 update- messages

[Jenny112]

Since I updated to 2.2 the txt message widget has become incredibly slow to update, the names come up then they all change to numbers then back into names, and my contacts went really weird for a while. Did anyone else find this?

That sounds like a job for the data and cache clearing feature in the application manager.

Try going into menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > filter "all." Then clear data and cache on "messaging."

You should reboot your device right after doing that.

You'll need to reconfigure the messaging app, of course.
