Root 2.2 update when rooted

I wass wondering if anyone has recieved the update on a rooted phone? Did it work or did you have to remove the root?

What root are you guys using? I'm thinking of trying a Z4 Root after 2.2 gets put in the phone to get rid of some of the crap I don't use.
