2.2 Vs 2.3

I'm looking at tablets (the cheap ones to hold me over till the new Xoom comes out Q2) and I see them with Android 2.2 and 2.3. Is there much difference between 2.2 and 2.3, what are the main differences?

If one has a tablet with 2.2 can he upgrade it to 2.3?

I don't think there are that many differences. You really want Honeycomb if possible. 2.2 / 2.3 really weren't meant for tablets..although they will work okay.

battery life is probably the biggest difference

You really want Honeycomb if possible.

As I said this is just something cheap till I get a Xoom with Honeycomb or Ice cream sandwich.
