2.3.1 Slower than 2.2?

Well, i upgraded to 2.3.1 gingerbread a week ago today.. and so far i see that it slower than 2.2 stock.

Because when i wanna text with my keyboard it takes around 2 seconds to turn around. I was looking at a stock 2.2 G2 and it seemed faster and more smoother.


I don't know if 2.3.1 makes it faster or i don't know what makes it better but i think it's slower than 2.2 stock.

Was wondering what you guys think that have 2.3.1.

One thing your going to have to keep in mind is that with ROMs, a lot of the time they aren't made specifically for the phone, the system has been pulled apart from the closest version they can get. Also they are not fully optimized or have parts that aren't working correctly. All of this combines to make for any number of issues from the slowness you are experiencing to major battery drain, etc. I would suggest doing your research on the devs you are downloading from, my personal favorites, especially from my MT3G days are the Super D,E,F ROMs and obviously Cyanogen for well done Roms. Just a friendly opinion.
