Root 2.3.3 Gingerbread Issues Thread

Anyone know if these are new blur apps and if they can be renamed safely?
blur_flickr.apk
blur_linkedin.apk
blur_skyrocket.apk
Im hesitant to remove them since theyre "blur" tools and i know those can get messy but really, i do not need them all!

I froze them with TiBu no issues so far....:)

I'm on a DX and flashed GB with no root. Looking at TBH toolbox it has the SBF and RSD Lite 4.9.0. Can i do this from my X and maybe a short tutorial. Thank you in advance.

My 4 hard buttons are lit up extremely bright, it was instantly apparent. I really hate it because now all I can think is its going to burn the lights on the keys faster.

Other then that thought I LOVE IT. Its IMO the prettiest most sleek ROM out there including all the custom ones made by all our devs. Its gorgeous and performance is an absolute beast. At first I didnt notice performance gains but wow not over 2000 in quadrant. I will add that though my quadrant scores are higher the actual test looks the same, same fps etc.. So I dono where the extra score is coming from.

mine hard keys are extremely bright now as well. I saw someone else ask about it on the first or second page but i don't think there was ever an explanation. What i hate is if you dock it on a multimedia dock and you hit the "dim" button like your about to go to sleep...everything dims EXCEPT the stupid hard keys...they stay at full blast.

anyone have any thoughts on this?

The keys only stay on for a period of time I'm not sure of the exact number because I wasn't paying that much attention to it but after a few min on the dock mine went dark.

As for burning them out sooner they are LEDs, if you are on this forum I'm willing to bet you won't have your phone long enough to go beyond the usable life.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh that makes a little more sense. Honestly i never gave them enough time i guess to go dark...you'd think they would just dim with everything else when you hold down the dim button.

and yes if they are LeD's which also makes sense your right burning out shouldn't be an issue......

carry on

I don't know if I've ever run my battery to 70% in 1 hr 25 minutes before. That is if I can believe this 3rd party battery meter since the default one seems to be removed in GB

Anyone having issues with the the market? I can't install the updates to dolphin, droid overclock, our install simi clock at all.

Ohhhh, this is so wonderful...

Had some early issues with speed but I didn't realize that it was updating all my apps in the background. Now everything is humming along very nicely. I really like the varied shades of blue and grey.

No speed issues, no glitches. Maybe Moto finally got Blur right?

And that TV off animation is soooo coool...

Oh! Now my notification light works when I get email! Drool on, Fascinate users!

What is this and where can I see it?

Tried installing corporate sync account but now im getting not enough memory to encrypt data. I've cleared app cache and phone cache....have about 2mb free rom....what can I try?

So I had that issue after I first installed the rooted GB. I did the factory reset and it went away. Now several hours later it's back again. It's kind of annoying but I'm not about to redo this again and again just to make it not be there.

Anyone else have this issue come back or know a fix that isn't the factory wipe which apparently isn't a long term fix?

I can connect to my work wireless network with WPA2 but it will not allow me through to the internet.
I just put GB rooted on last night. I changed the wireless access point over to wep and then it is fine. Just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with wpa2...
