Can anyone help me with how to get the sliding lockscreen? I just flashed the new rom and honestly I have not done anything with my phone since March, so I am wayyy behind guys

It's a theme in fresh updater you have to set up a theme server in configuration first.

How to: Use Fresh Updater Geek For Me – Sprint Evo 4g & CDMA Hero there's the link to how to configure the updater. once configured, update the theme section and you'll see vanilla lock screen listed.
