2.3.4 Tmo rollout underway

My wife and I both have the Sensation 4G. I downloaded and installed the update for both of them yesterday. Her's works great. On mine, the unlock animation spins halfway and stops until I touch the screen. Anyone else have this problem?

got mine this morning (Bradenton/Sarasota, Fl.), Ive noticed several things with the update so far. 1st, the browser is at least twice as fast, I was shocked when I used the browser this morning. The speaker phone is super loud now when in call, almost distorted sounding. I found my self turning it down a couple notches when in call to clean it up, huge difference in volume though (yay)....(odd change >) instead of the red showing in the "loading bar" in the browser where it shows how fast the web page is loading is now green instead of red. There is also a color change in the task manager showing the "total memory", it used to have the memory bar in red but now is green (why? who knows, but it must be updated in some way), this also goes with the little circled numbers shown on the home screen for text messages and emails, within the homescreen icon there used to be the number of messages/emails circled in red, now its green (again, why??) but its there. The phone is deffinately snappier, no doubt, no plecebo effect. As mentioned the icons shown on the homescreen of apps stored on the SD card stay after reboot. Theres 2 new apps in the app drawer, "HTC likes" and "Quik lookup", (unless of course I somehow missed these since launch day {doubt it}). For some odd reason the "HTC Listen" factory app still shows in the app drawer (slightly different) but when clicked goes directly to the factory music player, almost seems as if it was deleted alltogether. It used to be similar to Amazon music where you can briefly play, download songs and or albumns...appears to be gone unless I need to have it updated...All in all, the Sensation is acting like the trooper we all wanted from day 1.....

came back to add that appearently everything that used to be highlighted in red is now green, including the volume bar when toggling the volume(phone, media, in call, speaker, etc) as well as the duration bar in videos (and the things I mentioned in the previous post)....odd change, but there none the less.....

The screen use to go into sleep mode during "Navigation" I believe this is also fixed...Woohoo. But, I don't think the speakerphone issue has been solved with this update..It is still relatively low.

my speakerphone was really not that bad before the update, my original Sensation speakerphone & overall volume was terrible though. There is a noticeable difference now when using the speakerphone within a call. I used to cup my hand around the top portion of the phone to make the sound louder (create a baffle to highten the sound/volume), now I have to turn the volume down a couple clicks on the volume rocker to quiet it down and no longer need to cup the phone with my hand...I promise this is a deffinate change!

Update:
I updated my htc sensation and i am happy to see the voice dialer and use it with my Q2 bluetooth. I am glad to see the "my htc self" is gone i had no use for it since the reader was not included in the software. The phone speaker for calls is much better (bit louder than before). As far as the 4G sign on the phone, it keeps switching between 2G and 4G. But no big deal because i use my wifi at home all the time. I have strong 4G signal in my city so i am fine. I don't know the use of htc like and i wonder if i really need to sign up for that or even for htc hub. I guess i won't.
Can anyone tell me what else i need to discover with this update?

can you tell me if this update fixes the voice command issue on the phone? i have the update but did not install it since my phone works fine with no problems. The only reason i will update is if the software has this voice command update when using a bluetooth headset to make and receive calls. Also, is there any improvement on the phone speaker when receiving or making calls?

I don't have the "My Shelf" widget anymore.

It also looks like I lost the ability to put the "Phone" shortcut on the unlock screen. It was there following the update, but when I tried to change one of the other shortcuts, the phone shortcut disappeared. I may have fat fingered it, but I don't see a way to get it back, as its not on the list of available apps.

Your phone must have had some kind of color issue when it was showing everything in red. The update didn't change anything as far as color of status bars and such, but it might have fixed a color problem you were having with your phone specifically. My status bars have always been shown in green (browser loading, battery level, circled number for texts, volume bar, etc), even before the update.

Most likely the user was using a different "Skin", or "Scene", where the status bars, highlighted items, etc., are red.

my touch issue seems to be working too good now. my face is hanging up on people. usually the phone would goto sleep but apparently not, well it is, but still, i seem to be hanging up on people now

Not impressed with the update. My phone's battery is about the same, the screen isn't anymore responsive then it was before. My pictures for contacts are still blurry and keep going back to the facebook profile even when I change it. I'm also getting the HTC splash screen alot more now when I go to the home screen after being in an app.

WiFi improved a lot, and gchat video works amazingly well. I noticed immediately how snappy everything became, but now after having the update for awhile I'm a little let down. My battery life is actually worse (seems to be display and phone idle that drains it the most.. ?) Also I get the HTC splash screen almost daily when hitting the home button, and before I had seen it maybe 2 or 3 times total since release date.

I had posted that previously, overall am satisfied with the update, but noticed an obvious heavier drain in battery even while in sleep mode, lost roughly 25% overall even using the chichitech battery. Seemed to be right back where it was initially when I had the original battery. Mabey the chichitech finally just stop holding the initial great charge, who knows....I recently ordered, recieved & have been using my Anker 1900mah battery with external charger. Thankfully Im back to normal & getting through the day w/o the need for additional charging. Cant say enough good things about this battery! Hope it hold this awsome charge for a reasonable amount of time.... I must have accidentally placed an order for 2 at Amazon cause my card was charged twice & i recieved 2 seperate batteries w/ chargers. Guess Ill post it up in the for sale section if anyone is interested, Ill let the battery & charger go for $15 shipped to your door in the lower 48 states (I paid $11 + 6.99 shipping)...
