2.3.5 does occassional reboot

TobesEtc

This weekend I used Odin to update to 2.3.5 (from 2.3.3) on a UK unbranded SGS2.

It does the occasional reboot. Is this a known issue...or is there a simple solution? Have I installed incompatible components?

2.3.5
Baseband I9100XXKI3
Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKI4-CL611039
se.infra@SEP-62 #2
Build GINGERBREAD.XXKI3

If I need to re-install something (else) could you point me in the right direction. I'm also running WidgetLocker 2.2.3, if that may have an impact?

Thank you

I have been trying to solve this on my new GS2 for a couple of weeks now. It doesn't happen often enough to be a pain though.

On one thread I found, Dolphin browser was considered to be the cause, so if you have that installed, you could try removing it for a while.. otherwise nothing I've tried has helped.

My next test will be to move stuff off my SD card and try without it.

Is it a totally random reboot, or can it be duplicated (perhaps by running a certain app)
If random, then it could be a loose battery problem that many on here have reported, and fixed by wedging a small piece of paper at the battery's edge opposite to the contacts.

worth giving it a try

I think I've gotten perhaps 8-10 random reboots in the five or six months I've had the phone, and it obviously happened both before and after 2.3.5.

After the resent update on both mine and my daughters Andriod phones, both will restart for no aparent reason at all and even when we are talking on them. This is not good.

After a little..ahem, issue...with updating to 2.3.6 I've now (fingers crossed) stopped getting the random reboots...I think! (at least, the frequency is much lower). I'm now on the following:
Version: 2.3.5 (2.3.6 stopped the phone being a phone! No idea why)
Baseband: I9100XXKI4
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100XXKI4-CL11039
se.info@SEP-62 #2
Build: GINGERBREAD.XXKI4

I did, and still do have Dolphin HD on the phone - so that could have been related.
