Help 2.3 but still authentication error

Got G2x October something this year. Was told the bugs were worked out with 2.3. I was checking things and tried to update and got the authentication error message. I know this was an issue before 2.3. What should I try? Thanks

If you guys are trying to update with the T-Mobile network, that ended a few months ago.

Now you have to go to LG's website, download drivers, download the update tool and update manually.
