Root 2.3 port

marefin

Android Enthusiast
just installed the 2.3 port and so far it's pretty nice, other than the some of the issues that haven't been fixed yet. anyone else try it out yet? just curious to know what people's experience/reaction was.

edit. haha who would've that i'd be having 2.3 running on my phone before samsung and at&t even released 2.2.

Please note though: This is a "(unstable) DEMO" with several (not so small) bugs to be worked out. So proceed at your own risk =).

I actually used this port for the Captivate. But like zizzerboy said, this is a demo so there are bugs. For example, no GPS, wifi works from time to time, getting contacts out SIM card is a bit buggy at times, and it doesn't recognize external SD card (well at least not for me). But it's still a working port. Another note, my battery life seems to have improved a lot. I'm at 50% right now after fairly heavy use since yesterday evening (about 12hrs or so maybe).

Edit. For shits and giggle, i ran Quadrant on it and got a score of 2300 or something in that range.

Serendipity 1.7. You? Btw does your external sd work by any chance if you have one in?

Sorry for the confusion, I haven't flashed this yet. I was just curious how you did it. I'll probably wait for a few more of the bugs to be worked out...
