Root 2.37 Downgrade Issues

I too am having the same problem! I've spent hours reformatting and reflashing the drive, making sure all the HTC sync drivers and adb drivers are installed, yet still cant sort it out. I've completed all the steps in cubz's downgrade from 2.37 guide up until step 8, where i cant access the phone's settings coz its locked!

I need to be able to access the phones settings so I can activate debugging but i cant because the phone starts up locked saying no sim is installed and prompting me to type in a password so I can enter the phone.

Any suggestions?

Is there any way of obtaining the pin code so i can unlock the phone and access settings?

Is it worth me looking into getting my hands on a USIM? Found a few on ebay around AUS$60.

Any help will be much appreciated. Anyone in Sydney who is willing to help me will be rewarded :)

UPDATE:
Found out that my mate's mate works for HTC Australia. He's tried his best but unfortunately it looks like I'm stuck in the chinese ROM until I can get my hands on a USIM. I ordered one of ebay last week for $50 so hopefully it will come in the mail over the next couple of days.

Then I hope its simply a matter of putting in the USIM, switching on the phone (without the annoying "Insert USIM" error message), going into settings to turn on debugging and charge only and continuing the rooting guide from step 8.

I got this message on the bootloader.
"Main Version is older! Update Fail!"

I have a Desire HD running 2.37.

Welcome to the forums! :)

That's normally the error message you get when the commands aren't entered correctly. Try it again, double checking what you type and it should work.

Hye..i'm trying to root my DHD and i manage to do all the thingy in the guide..but still it fails..i dunno what was happening & might need anyones help..the bootloader said sumthing like CID error..i cant remember it..i tried a few times..this is my software info..dunno wether it is downgradeable or not..help!:)

So, i assume my version is downgradeable rite?
yeah..i did the goldcard step..follow everything the guide said..n everything is ok i think..coz i dunno how shud i noe whether the gold card is successful or not..haha..
the problem comes when i try to downgrade..after checking the zip file..it says Incorrect CID i think..wat shud i do??
 
ok..done!i manage to downgrade already..but now i've problem in installing visionary..seriously i am noob..=___=" wat happen?i using es file explorer..it says problem in sparse the file..unknown source is checked and the usb debugging is enable..still it fails..

* not sparse..=___=" it says problem in parsing the package..
