I just found out today that boost has a 2.5 limit and throttles down after that...I thought unlimited went unlimited speed also....Welp guess I was wrong....
That is my understanding as-well freesunshine,i have never noticed or experienced any speed loss.I am pretty positive you are correct. My understanding is that this only affects on the HTC EVO Design, or any future 4G phones, when you reach 2.5G of data it will throttle down to 3G speed. It does not however, limit the unlimited data or on 3G phones.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
How can you tell your download speed? And data usage? (unrooted).
Thanks
Ok, but is 2.5 mbs really that bad? lol I remember when a computer could barely reach 5 kbs. I mean even if you're downloading 700 mbs movies you still get it in less than 5 minutes and an average song in 2 or 3 seconds. On that note when viewing web pages it's an almost instantaneous page load.
When you run a speedtest and get 2.5mbs its megabits per second not megabytes per second mbs is a step under from kilobytes per second
I know that quite well, although it is not just a step below, there are 8 bits in 1 byte, but I get dls on my warp between 1.7 -1.8 MBS not MBPS. So if thats what you mean then I know it doesnt throttle at 300kbs, but after reading the title of this post he said 2.5 gigs which would be 300mbs and not even my comcast internet can get that.

That's pretty much what I said.2.5 mbps = =2500 Kbps [Kilobit-per-second] = =0.313 MB/sec [Megabyte-per-second] = = 312.5 KB/sec [Kilobyte-per-second] Transfer Speed.
That's pretty much what I said.
Sorry, my bad.I know I was correcting Appollo just to mess w/ him lol.
