Help 2 Elites with the same clock issue

Me and my fiance both got the OE, on both of ours our times on the notification bar and my beautiful widgets, keeps changing in 2hr differences. Both of our times are constantly changing. Is there a way to fix this?

Also the sensor doesn't light the phone up when I go to end a phone call, also on both phones, the proximity sensor and everything on the phone is clean, no phone cover, or screen shield or anything.

Do you live near a time zone line? There is an app I use on my Optimus V that doesn't have service to sync the clock via the internet, I don't recall the name of it off hand, clock sync or sync settings.

Nope no time zones, I live in southwest Florida. I also notice that data is crap. And I live near Tampa, I should have no problems at all. I turn of my wifi and I get no 3g, no data symbol at all.

You should hsve 3g. If not call vm as something is messed up

Go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks and ensure that mobile data is enabled.

If it is, make sure you give it time to turn on fully.

That's normal. When you turn on wifi, 3G is turned off automagically. And you use less battery this way too.

maybe you can use a signal strength app to gain more insight, it's an old page, maybe there are better apps now.

It should be checked on, not off. Have you run the activate app?

I meant to say checked. It's always been on. I activated the phones online, because I ported numbers from my old TMobile plan I canceled. Followed the instructions, it was a success. So I never actually got the activate app because it already went through. But today while I was running errands I did the activate app and it worked. But it doesn't work at home.
