hi guys, im new to android, so i just cropped a photo from my gallery to use as a wallpaper, now where is it saved in the phone?? is it within the system files that u cant touch unless u root? and does it only keep the current wallpaper saved?

so i have a stock evo and i want to get rid of the bloatware e.g. sprint nascar
i know a root is needed but can anyone point out which method i should use and how i can unistall those programs and reroot my phone so it can be ready when froyo is released? in layman terms please! haha
