Help 2 problems with my new Galaxys s2

I have 2 problems with my brand new Galaxys s2!

1)If i take a photo I can't then send it from my hotmail. It just sits in my outbox. If i click on "send outgoing messages" at the bottom of the screen it just says "Sending messages" it just keeps saying "refreshing" and nothing happens. However I can a normal email from my hotmail with no attachment - this works fine. Its only when I try and email a photo. Could this be a setting? Someone told me its not possible to send a photo using the phones internet on my phone as one photo would be too big and that I can only do it if i use wifi - is this true?

2) when i get a text the actual message appears on the front screen when it arrives, which i dont want. I know there is an option on the phone that says "notifications - display message notifications in status bar" but i don't want to untick this box as then I don't get a notification at all! Anything i can do?

i just tried using my yahoo email account on the phone to send a photo to my other yahoo account, it works fine. whether i attached the pic or hit "send via", both work just fine.

as for the text, i wanted to know where i can display it on the front screen, cuz my comes on the side with the mail icon only, no preview.

You can select either display new email or new SMS on the lock screen. Settings, Display, Screen Display, Lock Screen wallpaper, Event Notifications

I have got my email attachements working. Phew!

Lunch BB - If I go to Settings, Display, Screen Display, Lock Screen wallpaper - there is no "Event Notifications" next - there is only the option of "wallpaper gallery" or "gallery"

hahah.. it's right below "Lock Screen".. there're 3 options

(1) Wallpaper
(2) Clock position
(3) Event notifications
